Why Join?
in joining any organisation, the satisfaction and enjoyment gained is directly related to the amount of effort you put into getting involved. Freemasonry is no different. Our members gain enjoyment and satisfaction through full participation in our rituals, charity, or social activities.
Many freemasons find learning and performing the ritual gives them the confidence to speak in front of others, and they find the efforts required very rewarding. Others make their contribution by performing small parts of the ritual as they feel able, but all enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded individuals.
How to join
Freemasonry is a multi-racial and multi-cultural organisation. Membership is open to men, aged 18 or over, who are law abiding, of good character and who acknowledge a belief in a Supreme Being.
If you are interested in finding out more about Freemasonry, with a view to joining, then you can look on the United Grand Lodge of England website, or you can use the Woolwich Polytechnic contact details to ask any questions, and we will do our best to answer.
